Mr. Quarcoopome holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Ghana and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the Methodist University College of Ghana.
Mr. Henry Quarcoopome joined the then Ghana Water and Sewerage Corporation (GWSC), now Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), in 1983 as an Audit Assistant in the then Accra Tema Metropolitan Area (ATMA) Region. Having served at Head Office as Assistant Auditor from 1993 to 2000, he was posted to the Northern Region as the Regional Audit Manager from 2000 to 2001. Again, he was transferred to the ATMA Region and worked as the Deputy to the Area Internal Audit Manager from September 2001 to September 2003.
Following the division of ATMA into 3 regions, he was transferred to serve in the Western Region as the Regional Audit Manager from October 2003 to March 2009. In July 2009, he was reassigned to the Finance department and was made the Regional Finance Manager of Eastern Accra Region; a position he held for a period of 7 years.
Due to his work ethics and in-depth knowledge in investments, he was made the Board Chairman of the GWCL Credit Union, a position he has held since its formation in 2010. He has also been re-elected to serve as a Board member of the Accra Chapter of the Credit Union Association (CUA) for another year after having served since 2016.
In July 2016, Mr. Quarcoopome was transferred to the Head Office as the Financial Accountant. He held this position until he was made the Acting Chief Manager, Internal Audit in November 2019.
He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) Ghana.
