Mrs. Serena Kwakye-Mintah is the Chief Executive Officer of the G-Water Bottling Plant. She joined the then Ghana Water Sewerage Corporation in November 1990 as a National Service Person and later gained permanent employment in January 1992.
She rose through the ranks and was appointed Head of the Management Information Systems (MIS) of the then Accra Tema Metropolitan Area (ATMA) of GWCL in 1999, where she was involved in the design and implementation of the billing and payroll systems of the company.
She was in charge of payroll for the entire GWCL and billing for ATMA. Her work also entailed assisting the MIS Team to define ICT needs in coordination with the users, constantly exploring the need for improving ICT operations, efficiency and utilization of ICT tools.
Mrs. Kwakye-Mintah was appointed ICT Manager between September 2006 and March 2010 when Aqua Vitens Rand Limited (AVRL) had a management contract with GWCL. She was responsible for data collection, analysis, coding and interpretation. She also designed and developed GWCL’s systems for cash collection (i-cash). From April 2010 to July 2013, she managed all ICT Projects with AVRL and GWCL.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Governance and Leadership from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
