Mr. Stanley Nii Kley Martey, APR, is currently the Director of Public Relations (PR) / Communications at the Ghana Water Ltd. (GWL). Having worked in GWL for over twenty-six years, he has gradually risen through the ranks as a Communication Specialist with a wealth of experience in PR and Communications.

In his existing role, Mr. Stanley Martey serves as an expert prescriber to the Ghana Water Limited, where he provides professional advice, counselling, and coaching to management on communication issues and strategies. His passion for media relations positions him at the forefront of all GWL media engagements as an advocate for water-related issues. His work highlights several activities targeted at defending GWL against adverse criticisms from the public and establishing a mutually beneficial relationship between GWL and its publics.

He has a demonstrable record in stakeholder management, media relations, reputation management, and crisis management, with proven experience and wide-ranging expertise in Corporate Communication and Public Relations. Notably, during the Covid-19 free water initiative by the Government of Ghana, he worked assiduously to ensure that the public was well-informed about the initiative and oversaw its full implementation. His efforts were critical in managing public expectations and ensuring the initiative’s success, highlighting his adeptness in crisis management and reinforcing his reputation as a leader in the field. Mr. Stanley Martey’s dedication to effective communication and his strategic approach to managing complex situations have solidified his status as an exemplary Public Relations professional.

Mr. Stanley Martey holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Industrial Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) degree in Sociology with Philosophy from the University of Ghana. He also holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Development Communication and a diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Media, Arts and Communication- Institute of Journalism (UniMAC-IJ).

Mr. Martey is an accredited member of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR).

His outstanding contributions to Public Relations have been recognized through several prestigious awards both locally and internationally.
