CHIEF EWUNTOMAH ZAKARIA (KABACHEWURA)

Ewuntomah Zakaria was born on 1st July, 1961 at Kpembe in the Salaga Municipal Assembly of the Savannah Region.  He started his Basic Education at Kpembe Primary School in 1965 and proceeded to Salaga Middle Day School. He wrote the Common Entrance Exam in 1973 and subsequently gained admission to Ghana Secondary School in September that same year.

After secondary school, he attended the Modern Institute of Technology to continue his R.S.A (II) (Royal Society of Arts Advance) and gained employment with the Ghana Education Service in 1981 as an Accounts Clerk.

 

 

He pursued a Higher National Diploma in the year 2000 and had his post-secondary education at the University of Cape Coast where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.  In the course of his studies, he worked as an Accountant at Damongo Senior High School and was later transferred to Tamale Senior High School. He pursued a Masters Programme at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) concurrently with his work as an Accountant and acquired a Common Wealth Executive Masters Certificate.

He was enskinned as the Kabachewura of the Kpembe traditional area in 2015 by the Kanyasewura/Kpembewura. He was a government appointee of the Salaga Municipal Assembly from 2016 till date.

He retired from the Civil Service in July, 2021 as a Deputy Chief Accountant II of the Ghana Education Service in Tamale Senior High School after an illustrious career spanning forty years.
