MR. MICHAEL AYENSU – GWL

MR. MICHAEL AYESU

(DIRECTOR)

Mr. Ayesu is currently the Coordinating Director in charge of Operations at the Ministry of Finance. His responsibilities include the monitoring and implementation of the national budget, with emphasis on Government’s priority programmes; and supervising all operational issues relating to all divisions in the Ministry. He joined the Ministry of Finance in 1988.

Mr. Ayesu graduated from the University of Cape Coast in 1985 with a B.A. Honors degree in Social Sciences (Economics and Sociology) and a diploma in Education

He also obtained a Master of Philosophy degree in Monetary Economics from the University of Glasgow, UK in 1993.

He was on secondment as Senior Advisor to Ghana’s Executive Director at the World Bank Group in Washington DC from 2008 to 2013. He has been a Board Member of the National Investment Bank since 2014. Mr. Ayesu is married with two children.
