Ing. Irenious N. Buule is the Deputy Managing Director of Ghana Water Company Limited in charge of Operations. Prior to his appointment in October 2015, Ing. Buule was the Chief Manager in charge of Projects Planning & Development. He has over 30 years of experience in the water supply sector in Ghana. He has served as Project Engineer, Rural Water Supply Engineer, Planning & Development Engineer, Projects Monitoring Engineer, Project Manager and Regional Engineer in various Regions including the Brong Ahafo, Accra-Tema and Western Regions and the Head Office.
In February 2009, he was appointed General Manager (Customer Care) for Area 2, comprising the Ashanti & Eastern Regions and from July 2010 to August 2013, he was the General Manager for the ATMA Production Region in the Accra-Tema Metropolitan Area. From September 2013 to February 2015 he was in charge of the then newly created Ashanti North Region and concurrently the Caretaker Chief Manager for the new Ashanti South Region from January 2014 to February 2015. From February 2015 to September 2015 he was the Chief Manager in charge of Projects Planning and Development at the GWCL Head Office, a position he held until he was elevated to the status of Deputy Managing Director in charge of Operations in October 2015.
Ing. Buule is a Senior Member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana and a Master of Science Degree in Management & Implementation of Development Projects from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology, Manchester, U.K.
